Get the details on what’s happening!
Born out of training injuries that sidelined a group of friends from competing in the New York City marathon, we pivoted to something we were also good at: drinking beers. So, in 2011, in New York City, the Beerathon was born. A 26 bar, 26 beer adventure that captured the imaginations of beer lovers around the world. Now, over a decade of Beerathons around the country later, we’re adding the newest challenge: Beers, Run, Ridiculous Fun.
Run (or Walk) your way through this totally doable 5K course. Get that Runner’s High and earn your beer, mile by mile.
Like beer more than running? Not ready to run or an old sports injury slowing you down? Grab tickets to join us for the Beer Fest at the finish line anyway. Beerathon is for everyone🤝
See you out there 🍻

Runner's high refers to a euphoric feeling that some runners experience after a run.
It's often described as a sense of well-being, reduced stress, and even mild euphoria. Runner's high is thought to be caused by the release of endorphins, which are neurotransmitters produced by the body in response to stress and pain. These endorphins interact with receptors in the brain to reduce the perception of pain and induce feelings of pleasure or euphoria. Additionally, other neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin may also play a role in producing the feelings associated with runner's high.
Overall, runner's high is a natural and enjoyable reward for engaging in physical activity.

You definitely should talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise program. Depending on your individual medical conditions, medications and overall conditioning, a doctor may advise different levels of activity. A patient’s activities, weight loss and frequency of exercise may affect prescriptions and dosing of medications.
An important reason to talk to your doctor prior to exercise is the elevated risk of heart attack or cardiac complications for anyone who has not been active in a long time. Other areas of concern include joint care, blood chemistry and internal organ issues (lung and kidney). These ailments may predispose you to heart issues.
We want to encourage physical activity and help you get healthy, even if we have to bribe you with some beer.
By participating in the Beerathon, you’re responsible for your own safety and waive any and all claims against us.
